There are a few issues on ebay for which I look at every single offering - 1878 & 1921 Morgans, for instance. The relaxed listing prices have led to a few sellers putting monster quantities of coins up, with Buy It Nows and three-day listings so they regularly appear as "new". Which means that every three days I now have to look at the same_darn_coins again. And I have to, on the off chance that the seller might have put a new coin up. It's infuriating.

Block the sellers! You might miss the occasional coin, but it saves me hours of annoyance!

Heh. That's the problem. I search to cherrypick varieties for flipping, and the competition is pretty serious. I have to look at them all. Heck, I check ebay every morning before I even look at my overnight email.

Are you pretty successful with cherrypicking varieties? and I know what you mean, some seller list too much stuff.

Quote: Are you pretty successful with cherrypicking varieties? Depends on how you look at it. I only score maybe a half-dozen a year, but the ones I score are pretty darn good and never fail to make me a profit. It's not a moneymaker, that much, but more like something I do just because I'm good at it.

Sounds like it could be fun anyways. The little rush you get when you get a small score :)

No, although we've met. He has some of the silliest foreign double does I've ever seen.

Dave, do you ever pick b&m shops in NJ? I have a few spots you can try. Let me know if you are interested.

I don't drive, Ben. It's tough for me to raid b&m stores.

I feel your pain. I'm looking at the same 1878 listings and have gotten to know several coins very well. There's one poor PCGS XF40 dollar from a certain seller that I've seen listed at least 9 times in the last two months. It's way overpriced as are all his coins. But with free listings, what does he have to loose.
I've gotten to the point with this seller and many others like him, of recoginizing the seller from the listing photos and I'm not clicking on them anymore.
It's called COIN SPAM!
