I like Stephen Album coins and have purchased from them on a number of occasions. However these counter-stamped MTTs just amaze me; not in a good way. Well not actually the coins the,IMHO, dim witted buyers. I would anticipate this coin will sell for more than US$1200.00. The counter-mark dates to 1881-1902 however the base coin has been struck from London mint made dies...dating the coin to the period 1937 - 1961. What amazes me The auctioneer points out that the coin is regarded as a spurious issue yet people will go nuts and bid the value of these fantasy issues up
