Hi all, just getting into commems and picked this up on the bay for $45. How did I do? I normally don't want this much toning, but this one appealed to me. Thanks, Kevin

I don't know enough about commems to know whether or not you did well, but I really like that coin and you've made me want one.

I think you did great too! Do you see any wear in-hand? It looks mint state with some crusty toning and good luster.

Very nice ... the reverse image of the Mayflower is one of my favorite ship images in the commemorative series.

I'm thinking this coin is XF/AU ... check the high points for wear. Nice pickup of a lovely and historical coin.

Pleased to have you sharing with us ... any others?

David

This is my 4th commem behind the Columbian half and the Washington and Liberty -S halves from the eighties. Looking to fill some holes in my 7070 and came across this one. I don't have it yet, but below is a link to more pics. Thanks for the feedback!

Wow! I think some of the seller's pictures did not do the coin justice and you will probably be happier with it in hand. I recently became addicted to commoratives thanks to the knowledge shared here. There are several collectors who have awesome low ball sets as well. Looking forward to your next foray.

Same here, I am saving up a little for a Seated and Trade $ for my 7070, but needed a Commem half as well, and when I saw this one at the price it was, I couldn't pass it up. I think the angled pics show alot of detail on the ship that you can't see from the straigth on pics. Can't wait to get it!
