I had this 1922 Peace dollar in another discussion that I started, and someone thinks the obverse strike is huge. What does this mean? I can't tell the difference between two of the same dollars that I have.

It means that the obverse devices (mainly the hair in this case) are fully struck up. Many Peace dollars have weak strikes, particularly at the center of the coin.

Your coin exhibits a very strong strike.

The coin looks totally normal to me, I have several 1922 Ps they are very common. If you have several Peace dollars put it in the middle of the stack and see if it stacks flat or not. You could possibly have one of 35 thousand High Reliefs, but highly unlikely.

If it is a high relief, what would the possible value be?

If it were a High Relief strike, the value would be incalculable. Only one circulation strike is known to exist; the rest are all Matte Proofs. Fortunately for your blood pressure, this is not a High Relief strike. The length of the ray to the right of the E is a smoking-gun attribute; it's much shorter than yours in the High Relief strikes.

The development of the hair on the obverse is what caused me to make the remark I did in that other thread. That, and the sharp definition of the tops of the lettering, which are rarely as clear as on your coin. The relative weakness of the reverse is what prompted me to theorize that this is a fresh obverse die mated to an old reverse.

Okay, well I'll probably still send them in for grading to PCGS unless I'm told to leave it as is. Probably a good thing it's not a high strike. I tend to get overly excited about finding stuff like that. I'll keep on looking for that one special coin.

I wouldn't bother with sending it in. The 1922-P Peace is the single highest-mintage Dollar ever struck - over 50 million - and they're as common as grains of sand. You can get an MS65 for $100.
