Jerry they are all beautiful coins. In the past year I think you have spent more money on coins than I have in over ten years. It's got to be close to $100K.

Hi Ski ...

Yah, I admit that I have spent a whole lotta cash during the past 10 months, but your estimate is way too high!! (but I'm glad that it was a higher guess, than a lower guess!!)

During the past 10 months, I have purchased 122 coins, plus a dozen incredible cool research books => $23,560 ... yes, I keep a spreadsheet of all of my coin purchases (hey don't judeg me, I'm a geeky engineer ... what do you expect?!!)

Oh, and by the way => I always love seeing your new coins and/or your good ol' SMACKDOWN greatest hits!! (you definitely have your own style and I always recognize your wares => top-notch, my friend)

... it is actually quite amazing how each one of us has their own "style" and there own interests, but as an "overall group" I think that we are all basically on the same page!!

=> we love these awesome ancient coins and we all seem to share in the whole "history-aspect", whether it is Roman Rulers and their battles, or whether it is the Greeks and their myths ... it's all in our blood!!

I'm surprised that's all you spend, you have some great coins that I would have though would have been much more. I enjoy seeing your new additions and looking forward to seeing what you buy new year.

Thanks Dude => I absolutely love searching, buying and then showing-off my stuff (so I'm very glad to hear that a few others like to see what I've been up to!!)

... I am sure that I'll find a few things to show-off in 2013 (thanks for all of your comments ... it makes it all worth it!!) ... ummm for the record, there are not a lot of my "actual/local" friends that give a poop about my coins, so I rely on you guys for all of my coin-kudos!!

Man steve yoir collection would make a real sick coin store! You would have to put on white gloves to go through the junk bin. Great Greeks and Romans, I give you fair warning stay out of the East, the way you buy you will surley drive up the Indo-price!

Steve, 122 coins in 10 months? Thats a coin every 2 days roughly...its borderline sickness but I love many of your choices.

I have a weakness for the silver Greek ones mainly, but these aren't inexpensive so 1 every couple of months is as much as I can expect.

Your first coin is a winner, my Moesia Istros isn't as well centred and doesn't have as much detail as yours.

The Chalkis Euboia is one I have on my to buy list...

The Tets are always winners, but since I am fussy on both condition and price these are hard to buy, yours walk the line between condition and price fairly well...none are too shabby to be good coins but none in such high grade that they will eat your whole coin budget.

You have a good selection there and seem to be balancing types well. I always look forwards with interest to what you are going to buy next ^^

All keepers including 4 that are not eagles. I'll tack on a few more and invite other species.

Cales - a bronze with a rooster (not a real nice one but better than my other rooster coin)

The-Bird-Collection-=>-More-From-X6's-Organized-Mayhem

This is a terrible obol from Mallos but the reverse is a swan. The worse obverse is a torso. I got this in a group of tiny silvers I bought. A couple were too worn for me to put in my collection but I accessioned this because of the swan (my only).

The-Bird-Collection-=>-More-From-X6's-Organized-Mayhem

Slightly doubtful to me is this tiny tetartemorion from Ionia which the catalogs call a quail. It could be an eagle. In this size, details are not clear.

awesome => I love the rooster and the quail (we have "bush-pheasant", which I grew-up calling quail, but the locals insist that they're "chickens") ... *whateva*

=> regardless => those are great additions, dougsmit

Once again => cheers and I hope that you have a great New Year
