I just received an e-card from the Mint. Very nice actually - and I think the caribou quarter with the red nose would make a neat Christmas circulation coin. Any ideas/suggestions for similar?

Yes, I think it's a good idea. I remember years ago the R.C.M. came out with Christmas theme colorized quarters, they were neat and among the first colorized quarters ever.
Whatever it takes to inspire new Collectors to join the Hobby will be a bonus to all of us!
