Well its great to see someone around my age collecting cause I felt really awkward when we were lining up to enter because nearly everyone was like 20-30 years older than me. By the way did you get any bargains at the show?

My issue with the Petersham Coin Show is....... (puts on grumpy hat and stands on soap box) .....when I see it advertised in the CAB magazine in never mentions where Petersham is. I'm not from Sydney so I actually had to do some research to find out where it is. I know that Sydneysiders like to think they are the centre of the universe but I would have thought they could at least have told us what state the Petersham coin show is in.

Good pickup Nancy, thats the listing in the calender of events.
I was actually referring to the half page advert in the magazine. It gives the address as
"107 Crystal Street Petersham (near station)"

I probably won't see any of what my main interest is: ancients. You don't get that sort of dealer at Petersham. Anyway, if an ancients dealer turned up, I expect that his sales would be minimal, because Petersham is not that sort of numisamtic market.
So if I go, it will be to enjoy a few yarns with anybody who may have some interest in numisamtics. I have great interest in post 1900 numismatics, it's just that (mostly), I no longer collect in that area. 75% of my collection IS post 1900 after all, simply because these coins are most available.
