Speaking of varieties....
I needed a Draped Bust half dollar for my type set and it seemed that most specimens had weak detail on the eagle's breast and wings. I selected this coin based on it's extra-sharp eagle detail. It really wasn't priced much higher than a common variety, but according to Overton the O120a rates an R5 or R6 on the rarity scale. Does anyone have any comments or information on this variety? Is it especially rare compared to a run-of-the-mill 1806 half? It's in an ANACS holder, graded AU50.
Thanks!

Very Nice coin. It's listed as an R-5 in the 4th Edition Overton Variety book, however on this link which discuss's Bust Half Dollar Rarity Ratings the O-120 is listed as an R-3 with sub varieties (120a, unlisted) as being one Rarity Rating higher thus making a O-120A an R-4.

Oh, man. I wish you'd wanted that one graded, so I could have gotten it under my lens. What a beautiful coin.
