RogerD Valued Member Canada 491 Posts	Posted 12/25/2012 2:40 pm After looking at another coin only minted S I noticed that there was a mark on right leg above the knee, is this normal? This coin has the same leg mark but is Philly minted as there is no mint mark. Would this grade any better than au-55? Report this Post to the Staff

SsuperDdave Moderator United States 23522 Posts	Posted 12/25/2012 3:24 pm If you're talking about the vertical gouge almost in the very front - looks like it ends in a dot at the top - then yes, that's a part of the design. Your example is strongly-struck (nearly FH), has great eye appeal, and is certainly no worse than AU55. Report this Post to the Staff
