Hi there folks. I was just getting interested in colonials, and wonder if you could suggest a good book to start with for info/reference. I was going to get the Bowers one, Colonial and Early American Coins. Would that be decent to start with? There is also the Breen, but a little pricier, and since I'm cheap, i'd like to save that one for later :)

Thanks for the link! I have actually been reading that when I get a chance. Since I live 2 minutes away from ND, I should swing over there!

Colonial and Early American Coins is a great starting reference book.
As amida17 stated, NDU has a vast collection of Colonial related archives.
There are also many books related specifically to any particular Colonial coin you are interested in. Most of these are pretty comprehensive with die marriages and diagnostics of each particular coin.
. It's nice to see another getting interested in Colonials
