Quote:I agree this is a solid VG10, but to be honest I saw a few slabbed F12 coins on ebay that were not as nice as this coin. I basically didn't agree with the grade on those and found it very interesting. Congrats on a very nice piece. There are some nice coins sold on ebay, especially from collectors that really have no other avenue of selling. But it does seem to me to be a significant minority. :-)

Just bought one myself from Executive about a month ago.. It has a nick in the headdress, so I got it at a decent price. Liberty is readable. I had bought from them before. I'm glad that someone like SuperDave approves of these folks. Great company to do business with. I also got the 1909-S, slabbed as XF details (stained) about the same time. Except for the 1869/69 , the set is complete.
Upstate......Great Coin.....Does hat complete the set?

Quote: Does that complete the set? I still need the 09-s, I have a lot of homework to do if I plan to buy it raw. Not interested in the 69/69 unless I "found" one

Very nice indeed. You are now in the same boat I am. Short only the 09S.

I agree. Not a regular issue, but the hole is there none the less. I wonder why Dansco didn't put a place for '42 & '42D over 1 in the Mercury set.
