Ok so I had NGC grade this and we'll I'd like to see everyone else's opinion on it and what they think that it should be graded.

... I can only post one photo at a time with the iPhone otherwise it will override them. So beare with me and I will post the other pics soon.

It graded AU details. To me it dosent look cleaned if I knew it was cleaned I never would have bought it but I got it at a fair price so its all good. Do you think that if I crack it out and sent it to pcgs that it won't get a details grade?

The vertical striations clear on the obverse are a dealbreaker. Even if they aren't the result of a brushing, PCGS is going to see it as a cleaning.

Ok so I won't have it regraded if pcgs will also mark it as cleaned. Thank you all for the comments

Actually I disagree, pcgs has graded coins that were in Ngc cleaned/details holder. Crazy eh? But it has happened. Honestly enjoy the coin and if later on you want to try, do it.

The obverse hairlines are the biggest obstacle to a problem-free grade but mkman123 is absolutely correct that this defect could well get a pass if the coin was cracked-out and re-submitted. The photos probably exaggerate the appearance of the hairlines and a grader might let it go next time around. It would be a gamble; do you feel lucky? Would a no-problem AU holder increase the value enough to justify the additional grading fee?

Luster is moderately strong but in terms of detail I'd call it AU-53 maximum based on the definite wear visible on Liberty's hair.
