VICTORIA AVGGG - I think
LVGP Mintmark for Lyon

Cant really see anything on the obverse legend, you may be abl to in hand. These were made for Valentinian II, Theodosius, Arcadius, Eugenius, Honorius and Constantine III. Id guess it was one of the first three.

Maybe I am stating the obvious to guess the top coin is a dupondius, which is why I normally stay quiet on this kind of thread :P

David - You are right, this is a dupondius! And I do believe it is Vespasian, looking at the style of his other dupondii. Worn down and pretty much worthless but my first Vespasian.

The letters are in basically the perfect place, looking at other coins, for the legend IMP CAES VESPASIAN AVG COS III. The reverse probably will never be Identified.

I am not so sure about the reverse being unidentifiable... I am browsing dupondii on vcoins at the moment and I see that there are not so many with the figure standing right.

From the wide setting of the letters S and C and the clearly defined line of the back of the leg the reverse doesn't seem to match any that I can see at present but I am sure if you do find a reverse that matches those features you can be pretty sure that you found your reverse.

Bing - I looked into it, the position of the letters only matches Vespasian and the bust looks more like Vespasian than Titus.
