Wow, this does make me sad.
Was wondering what everyone thinks this would get up to in price? Says he paid a hundred for it...

I doubt it will sell for a hundred again. This cent wouldn't even be a good filler coin with that hole.

The lord has a holey I owned on his vest. All have to be @ least 100 yrs. old. Ending a week after the 1st, he'll have a better
chance of reaching that $100. I've seen 7070s that were exclusivly holed, and that would be a primo addition.

Anything over 20 bucks would be too high in my book. It's a cull coin.

A holed coin will always be a holed coin.

I agree with IndianGoldEagle... $20.00 is probably too much in my opinion

The story behind it doesn't make it any more valuable. It's severely damaged.

With that hole that coin will never be more than an AG, 20 dollars tops.

Out of all the problems in Numismatics, holed coins are my least favorite.
I would not pay more than $20 for this coin, MS Details or not.
