I sort of made an impulse buy without knowing much about the item I was buying. http://www.ebay.com/itm/35067591294....m1497.l2649Is this a 1985 Loonie token or another token released at a different time? If it is the 1985 one, is this the gold plated one or regular one? And if you have a Charlton book, can you check how much it's worth? :)

Per Charlton 2012, the TT-100.13 is a 1985 Sherritt, Nickel plated bronze, narrow rims. Price range is 175-225.

I just looked up that test token number and the picture above it in the 2013 charlton and it shows a round token... The token you bought is not round...
Am I making a mistake? The number and look of the token don't match in my eyes?

Wouldn't the sherritt have a big S on it? I have that one listed as TT-100.22

I don't know a lot about test tokens but Canadian Coin & Currency has one for sale at $210 that looks like the ebay listing. http://www.cdncoin.com/product-p/tt10013qr556.htmIt's an MS66 rather than the MS64 in the ebay listing.. Appears to be eleven sided and also described as Sherritt, Nickel plated bronze, narrow rims.

CoinChick> I looked it up in my 2011, 65th edition Charlton and the photo above the TT-100.13 Sherritt shows an 11 sided token. Price range is the same as 2012: $175-$225. The price range is the same for all three compositions of the 1985 test tokens listed.

Very strange. Your catalogue shows the coin is a 1983, while mine says 1985. The diameter, weight and thickness are different in my 2012 66th edition as well. TT-100.13 is listed as 7.0 to 7.1 grams, 26.5mm in diameter and 1.80mm thick. Your book says it's stainless steel and much larger at 10.2 grams and 32.7mm by 1.90mm edit to add: I found this on C/A website indicating that the test token section was rewritten. 'A completely revised Test Token Section is included in the 67th edition. This is one of the more difficult categories in which to gather information, and it was only through two old collections becoming available that this revision was possible. Included in the Test Token Section are Concept Test Tokens, now expanded to 17 different varieties.'

They must have renumbered the test tokens since my edition.
