I looks like someone hyping their ebay auction. The "nude ladies" are part of the Vimy monument, a gift from France to Canada for the sacrifices made in World War I. Our neighbors to the south have not returned their 150 ft scantily clad copper sculpture, also a gift from France 136 yrs ago.

They all have the women - they are part of the Vimy Memorial. The mint knows this.
I just can't believe that someone is claiming there is a recall on the 20 dollar bills and trying to sell them at a premium.

" There is no Recall nor will there be one.The Mint is fully aware of those statues. They form part of the Vimy Monument..Therefor you title is miss leading and false..Kindly remove this so someone who does not know this does not get fooled by false statements.... Thanks and I trust you will do what is right "

I'm in America and try to keep up to date with foreign currency and etc. and haven't heard anything about a recall. I'm sure they aren't going to recall the $20 if they didn't recall the $100. The $100 supposedly had a little "toy" on it, no not an actual toy but a woman's toy. So, in conclusion, a recall isn't going to happen.

I see the listing ended prematurely - the seller probably needed his 'rare' bill to pay for his pizza delivery.

Quote: I was not aware of this Vimy memorial... To me, this statement is the real tragedy... I hope the stories of our veterans, and the memorials we erect to honour them, are never forgotten.

It all starts with education. I don't remember ever being told about this memorial during any of my schooling.

I give the Bank of Canada an A+ for putting a picture of the Vimy monument on the new $20 bill. Many folks I know never heard of it until they saw it on the $20 bill and then google it to get more information on it.
I would be very surprised to see the BOC remove it to appease a few puritanical morons over our under appreciated Canadian veterans.

Exactly what is wrong about tasteful nude art? We are so sheltered these days it's sickening...

reminds me of the 1955 'strapless' effigy. The die was changed to make the shoulder strap more prominent so Our Queen wouldn't appear inappropriate
