Nice start. I really like the overall look of the reverse of the 1916-D. Just the right amount of contrast to really bring the design to life. Super luster on the 1929-D. Quote: The 1920-D was a bugger to find Now you know why tough dates are called tough. Good luck! Ed

What a New Years treat, I have been anxiously waiting the chance to see your early walkers and they are beautiful. Do you stick to graded Walkers or do you also have raw ones? Thanks for showing them to us and may you find that elusive 1923 s for your set.
I took the liberty to view other coins in your photo album. Not only do you have some truly impressive coins but your photography skills bring out the essence of each piece. The 1843 and 1881 seated half are show stoppers for my tastes as well as most all in your toned album. Really like the Bolivia coin there.

I just love those Walkers, ...well... almost as much as my Lincolns. Beautiful looking coins Elmer. Quote: The 1920-D was a bugger to find,... Yeah, I can imagine, the only date I'm missing for my set.

Great looking set! I've been wanting to start a walker set for awhile, just have too many others going at the moment, so I'll enjoy looking at yours!

Thanks for the compliments! To answer one question, I do have some nice raw Walkers in my Whitman bookshelf album, like an AU 1917 and 1920 (with an awful strike), along with some other early VF pieces. I started the graded one just for fun and the challenge. I actually have a PCGS VF-35 1929-D, maybe I need to put that one in the album to match the other coins, instead of the AU piece?

And I LOVE the range of grades: VF-20 to AU-55. An honest, everyman's collection. Everywoman's, too! A Walker looks best with some contrast. Yours look great. I would take this set over any short set from 1940 to 1947, not matter how high the technical grade.
