Has anyone ever ordered an empty binder from Dansco and used their option to have 2 lines of gold stamped text printed on the outside? If so, could someone please post a picture of the final result? I am really temped to try this and make an album to hold my 1 ounce Australian Kookaburra collection. I currently have them in an album that holds 5 coins to a page, each individually enclosed in a holder. I like how it looks, but I would to put them in a Dansco, to match the rest of my collection. I currently have my ASE's and Silver Maples in the Dansco albums, and have plans of purchasing the Libertad album in the next few months. If a custom album works out, I can see myself buying more for my other types of 1 ounce coins in the future.

I've ordered blank binders from Jake's Marketplace and put in whatever pages I want. I haven't done the Gold printing though.

I once ordered some custom binders from Dansco. They were replacement binders for existing albums, so they look exactly like the damaged ones they replaced. I did this instead of buying new albums and moving the coins since the pages were fine (the binders were a little beat).
If you order them, I would expect them to look very nice.

I didnt buy custom dansco printing. But I bought 2 blank nickel albums. One for canadian nickels, and one for shield/liberty/buffalo. I'm going to use transfer paper to customize the dates below each coin. I was thinking of trying it on the binder in gold just to label it. I'm also going to do the same with my canadian cent album, which is a plain cent dansco.

Good to hear! Feel free to show us how they turn out. No pressure.

I sure will post some pics. One thing 'special" I'm doing is with the Liberty nickels, I'm adding a racketeer spot as the first one. That leaves me with 2 more spots. I'm still in the development stages, but the albums, and paper have been ordered.

Granite, where did you find their option for the gold stamped text? I've been thinking about doing the same thing for my silver Britannia series.

I found it in one of the insert fliers that comes with the Dansco books. I don't have one in front of my at the moment, but IIRC there is some small print somewhere that states you can get customer gold print lettering on a Dansco binding. I think it was around $7.00 for 2 or 3 (I can't remember) lines of text. I did not see anything about making custom pages.
I have not made any progress with possibly getting a custom folder but it is still something I am thinking of doing maybe some time this year. I am holding out hope that someone who has ordered one will read this thread and post some pictures. :)

I got in contact with the website (danscoalbumstore) where I purchase my albums. I mentioned the Dansco insert that talked about the custom binder with gold stamping. Here is their reply:
"A custom gold leaf printed binder would cost $20.00 plus 4.99 per blank page. We do not offer this directly on our website since it takes 6-10 weeks to receive them from Dansco. For this reason check it the only way we can place this order. If you're still interested please let me know what you need so I can put you an invoice. Please also let me know your zip code so I can get your grand total with shipping."
I have emailed them back with what I am looking to have made, and am awaiting their response. Everything looks like it will turn out fine and I hope to be able to update this thread in a few months with some pictures.

So I am gonna resurrect this post because I am interested in what happened with this request? I am planning to assemble a 2013 world silver 1 oz. coin set and want to house them in a Dansco album, but would LOVE to have a custom album made that says something like "1 Ounce World Silver Coins" or something to that effect. If it looks good enough, I'll make a true custom album binder for my Canadian cents and my combo Shield/Liberty/Buffalo nickel album too. Any update on this?

One of the reasons I use Whitman. You can order almost anything possible. I've made many odd ball types of Albums using their blank covers and pages and presson numbers/letters.
