Did any one participate in this auction? I'd love to know if it was anyone here that out bid me on the Victorian large cent set. I'd love to see some pic's.

 Not me tfred, I purchased lot # 593, however I had bids on the 1907H and the 1891 SLDL (Belzberg), MS-64 Large Cents. Near the end I had to pick, do I win the two large cents or take the '48, I chose the '48! Glenn

 Oh yes, speaking of large cents, do you still have the 1893?

@glenzy1 That's a very nice coin. Was there a preference over #594?

 Hello Hoop130, for the past month before the Auction, I looked over all the 1948's available and it boiled down to either Lot # 593 or 594. I contacted Eric Paquet owner of C & P Numismatics who runs the auction and over the past two weeks asked him these following questions: >of the following two Lot #'s: 593 and 594, which has the "best eye appeal." >which one has the least amount of "contact marks" in the fields? >which has the most "natural toning?" Eric's answer each time was "Lot # 593." Glenn

I was going after lots #277, 278, and 279. I ended up with #278 for $800. All the large cents sets were nice, but the Victorians were sweet!!. I just couldn't get my wallet opened up that far. :(

Glenzy1, thanks for the info. Hopefully, one day I can afford a MS 1948 dollar. Enjoy the new addition to your collection.
