Going through my uncleaned lot for the second cull I found this. This was with 14 others which were going to be culled but I decided to give them a week in oil to see if anything came out nicely. When I put it in, I thought it was just a common LRB and the encrustation on the back would serve as its downfall, but...

What is this? This guy is not wearing anything I've seen on roman coins before, and It seems very familiar to a coin posted by VK in Smackdown XXX depicting Theodahad.

It probably Roman I'm afraid.

Left facing plumed helmet with a spear, similar to this one:

I would suggest its a VICTORIAE LAETAE reverse or maybe a Votive but not 100%.

I think I can see 'NVS AVG' after the plume but not much before it.

Plume? I had no idea you could get plumes - pretty cool. Ill take a look at which ruler it might be.
