Odd... go up a few posts and see..I already done it and as expected no color..I was not surprised having worked in the metal industry for many years.... They turn white and then dull grey..

The personal attacks are a nice touch. I made a general comment on a coin that at that time was not claimed to be owned by anyone on this site. My comment is what it is, a comment on an ugly coin, nothing more, nothing less. If you take some odd, miss-placed offense to that, I apologize for my general statement of free speech.

All that aside however, it is still a fairly ugly coin.

I just had your listing come up on the top banner. Looks like the bidding is going well.
Regardless of how it became toned it is a nice proof like coin for people who like toning as the title says.

The main issue I have with that 1959 dollar is that I don't see underlying lustre, although most 1959 business strikes I have seen are almost of a matte finish. Maybe it is the photography and lighting... you can get some gorgeous 1959 toned dollars in the old proof-like cardboard holders, with underlying mirror lustre...

well the pic was taken with a curly daylight bulb approx..3 feet behind me in a sconch.. In hand the colors are not so vibrant or bold..Guess I should have tried different lighting for this coin...
