my dad went to a flea market and for 4 for $2 he got me 3 Buffalo nickels and a 1911 V nickel, the obverse is pretty worn out but the obverse you can see a lot more *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. *** |

Some of the first V nickels were minted without the five cent designation They were passed off as $5 gold pieces!! (after gold plating them) A nice 1883 no cents cost about $25...good luck! |

Decent price, I know the local dealer here charged me 55 cents a piece for lower grade bulk V nickels. Some are worth more than others but I know they searched threw them. To get a lower price you have to buy hundreds usually. What year is it? |

i wish it was crhing, I never had any luck doing that so I stopped, I've actually lost some money doing it too, but anyway, sorry for the delay, heres the nickel, a bit worn but I guess its expected for being in circulation over 100 years

thanks for moving, I couldnt find it for a bit so I just went to the My CCF tab and went from there, and thanks stud, its a nice coin, I'm going to see if I can find one thats not as worn out so I can use it as an example to see what its supposed to look like, but I hear theres some people out there that prefer this type of worn out look on older coins too.

I've only found 3 while CRHing and I'm not looking to add to that amount. It is way too infrequent. Nice coin.

my friend at work said he got a 1910 as change from the gas station across the street from our job, I dont care if youre a coin collector or not, but you cant just look at a coin like that and be willing to give it out as change only because of how much different it looks from a normal nickel

 to the best nickel series. Personally, I love V nickels. Got over a thousand of those and can't help buying every nice example I see  . Edited by supgog
