Hi all. I am just wondering to the best place to sell an 1847 Large cent n-26f (late dies state with two pronounced Cuds) in Very high grade (au-MS). I don't collect large cents, an just happened upon this one and sent it to be graded by NGC and had its variety researched. It had some very cool Cuds , so I figured it might be something special. Well it turns out in this high of a grade (its not back yet , I only know the variety has been verified) it is quite rare. The only examples of this die state I find are of much lower grade problem coins. Where can I find population data on this die state and where is the best place to sell it so I can finish more of my Type set and Nickel collection ! Sorry the picture stinks (not taken by me) and I only have the reverse right now. Thanks all!

Heritage sold one of these in 2006, and at the time mentioned there were only 6 or 7 known in die state F. Although enhanced by the Jules Reiver pedigree, that coin sold for $345 in VF Details Corroded.

You have your hands on something very special there. It's definitely a Heritage-level consignment.

Heritage might be good, but I would almost think that Goldberg's might be better because they have a more direct tie in to the copper market. Even better would be the annual EAC sale, but it is probably too late to get into this years sale.

Well I have the grade-- Uncirculated details-- "Environmental damage"....Surprise to me, but I'm still happy. If I list on ebay ---what should I start it at as a buy it now? $1,000,000? Lol. I just want a fair price, but don't know where to start.
