Hi I'm new to this site and forum and actually this is my first forum post so first off hello everyone and thank you for taking the time out of your day to post your knowledge and help the rest of us with any questions we may have. I have learned alot from this site in the past couple of months about U.S. coin collecting and that is why I chose to join.

My question today is about a few U.S. paper bills that I have, there really isn't much special about them other than I have 10 $1 bills in consecutive serial order & 10 $2 bills in consecutive serial order. I have total 1 $20 bill, 1 $10 bill, 1 $5 bill, 10 $2 bills, & 10 $1 bills , all of them are uncirculated crisp bills in perfect condition and I took them to my local Post Office and had Them Officially use their postal cancellation date stamp to stamp the date of 12/12/12 on each and every bill that day because it as some of you may know is the last consecutive date and will not have a similar date for another One-Thousand Years when its 01/01/3001 or 01/01/01. I just want to know some of your opinions on this and whether or not any else has done anything similar to this to document this consecutive date or knows someone that did, I know alot of people flocked to vegas to get married that day but I want to know if anything else was done with money or something similar, and do any of you find theseof any sort of value above that of face value? I know about April 13th 1976 the bicenntenial when alot of people had a $2 bill stamped by the post office to have that date officially recorded onto it and now those bills that where purchased for $2 face are worth upwards of $50+ at dealers that I've seen, I'm just wondering if you think mine will ever add value similar to those. I did not do this with the intent on making moneyso I will not be disapointed at all, I actually did make money though because I took additional bills for othersand had them stamped for them and then charged them a fee for me to do it lol, but my original intent and still is, is to frame these bills in a nice simple frame with maybe a small title and picture related to 12/12/12 & was thinking of adding a cool Mayan temple picture I have to it as well for my own collection. I will post pics if anyone asks of the bills or the mayan temple pic I have. Just thought it would look good next tomy uncut 32 $1 bill sheet, I dont really collet paper money at all and I'm farely new to collecting coins but I'm only sticking with modern U.S. coins for now and have already put together a full set of P&D quarters and P&D gold dollars from all years and working on cents and nickels plus proof and mint sets plus ASE's and anything and everything from 1989 my birth year. I'm also into roll searching halves, pennies, and nickels. thank you to all that have input on my post

Wow yours are really cool. Where did you get that stamp with lincolns head? I've got to say yours look better than mine, because even though mine are official from usps they are only a small red circle on the left side and some arent as dark as others what did you do with yours did you have them framed? I was thinling of going to Hobby Lobby and having them framed because I think that would be the least expensive but obviously I want them in a non acidict frame thats archival so they last, so do you think they are a good way to go or should I do it my self or take it somewhere else? Are you interested in selling any of your $5 stamped bills? There just really good looking and would look great along with my others. Oh alittle bit off topic but do you know anything about your local federal reserve bank? I live in Salt Lake City, Utah so I have a lpcal fed reserve close to me and have been debating on whether or not to sign up to take a tour because you have to in advsnce. What do tjey offer just obviously the tour but after it do you know if they have an area where you can purchase things from them like uncut bills or uncirculated cash or coin, or commemoratives? I know I got my uncut $1 bills after I toured the treasury back in washington DC. And they also had all sorts of other cash and coins even though they werent the mint. Just curious if you know anythinv about that thanks. And if you know anyone else that has done anything with there bills like we have please let me know. Also real quick sorry but do you know how to get brand new rolls of pennies from the mint like of all one year or how to get an entire box like that other than buying the two roll sets from the mint online, I'm saying buying them at face value or maybe alittle more. I know you can get entire boxes of quarters from the mint for alittle over face when new ones come out but I've never seen anything like that for nickels or pennies or dimes so how do others keep buying them you cant tell me ppl just get lucky alot because most dealers have them and sell them for $1.50 to $5 a roll
