Well, I have a 1935 Walking Liberty Silver Dollar that my grandpa recently gave to me to start my collection. It's extremely beat up and in pretty bad condition but I'm just wondering if this would be worth anything...

your pictures are too blurry to estimate a grade. But if it's "extremely beat up" as you describe, your Walking Liberty half dollar is worth just under $11 for the silver content. But you probably be offered a little less

Yeah, all I have is my cheap phone so this was the best pictures I could get. Lol. And thanks for the help. Had a feeling I couldn't get much for this.

Even from the blurry photo I do not see that the coin was "beat up." Sure, it saw a lot of use. The rim is complete - important to have. There IS a "rim bump" at the 6 o'clock position seen on the reverse. As your grandpa gave this to you to help get you started, it will always be special to you. Use it to compare with other Walkers and discover what characteristics are important to you. As much about coins can be learned from books and from the CCF, it takes a lot of looking to discover what exactly "captures your eye." This "captured my eye" a few weeks ago: https://goccf.com/t/137735

Matthewvincent, I saw that draped dollar when you first posted, but I could stare at it all day. xZACKx, as has been mentioned, your Walking Liberty half dollar is worth it's silver content. However, like matthewvincent said, it should be treasured as a gift from your grandfather. Well beyond the silver or numismatic value, he's given you an awesome gift and you can use it to learn about walkers and coins in general. You could even keep it win your pocket as a good luck pocket piece! Whatever you do, enjoy your beautiful new coin!

Well I didn't plan on actually selling it, haha. I just like knowing about my coins and knowing how much they're worth.
