Can anyone give me some advice on selling some of my better coins? Are the fees at heritage very high? Can someone give me a rough gauge of what they would take from a sale? I have some nice coins that aren't slabbed. Should I slab all higher end coins for resale? For example, I have a nice vg 1895 o that may get better money without a slab. I showed it here and felt a little resistance when I suggested that I was going to send it to a TPG.

you could send it to tele-trade, they will slab for free. or great collections, they seen to be reasonable on fees, but you have to pay for slabbing.

Regarding Heritage: I sent in my 1916-D dime in raw. They took care of everything regarding the slabbing. One bad thing was that I didn't get to choose TPG. But they were great with the paper work, everything signed online, so no papers get lost or gets delayed. They do charge for the grading though, I think it cost me $38, but that was probably an express grade since we were rnning out of time to get it into the FUN. Over all, I've had a pleasant experience with them so far....Ask me again Thursday night after my coin is sold. The seller's fee is 10%. Oh, one more thing, not sure if it's standard in the business, but I think waiting 3 months from sending the coin in until I get the money in my hand sounds a bit long to me.

What do you guys think of tele-trade? I registered on their site and it looks pretty inviting.

It looks like they only charge a postage and handling fee to the seller, and that's it. They will slab it for free if it sells for more than 250 and about 10-15 bucks if sells for less.

I looked a little more and the postage after sale is paid by the buyer also at teletrade. Has anyone here sold with them?

Ok epikur, I don't drink beer so I now see the comparison between champagne and PBR.

Is tele-trade a taboo here? Nobody seems to want to say anything. I'm looking for the advice of all the experts here. Would I be better off sending my coins to Heritage?

I have not sold with Teletrade...yet. I've purchased from them though. I've been buying from them for around 15 years so they've been around for awhile.
Starting 1/1/13 they changed the way they handle their auction. They used to have 3/week with bidding for each auction being limited to about 10 hours that day. Now they have 1/week with bidding lasting all week. They also used to charge a sellers fee (can't recall the rate but I think it was around 10%.) Now there is no sellers fee but they increased the buyers fee. Since they reduced the sellers fee to 0 I have been thinking about giving it a try and seeing how it goes.
