And BTW, I do not think it is original at all, sorry. Notice how the end with the 64 D ( the fact there is a 64 D in a "62 D" roll is the first hint it is not original, because if it were, there would not have been any 64 D's made yet) is loose... not tight like it should be. If it were like the tails end, then it might be original. Perhaps it was a typo by the seller, and they are all 64 D's? It is not original though. And yes, there were some wrappers that were foil inside... though they tend to mess up the coins.

I have an original 1962 D roll from 1962 and no it does not have that. My roll is in much better shape, and it looks like someone made that roll look old. One other thing if the coins have been in that roll for fifty years every where the coins have touched paper it will be very dark epically the sides and top and bottom coins.

Well I got the roll yesterday and it's a plain light brown roll with a faded red ink on each end. I'm gonna open it tomorrow when I have a little more time to concentrate now I'm in my hotel in Seattle till Monday

I was thinking that silver lining may be to keep the coins from turning dark, like I stated everywhere the paper touched the coins they turned dark. It could be something experimental they tried to help perverse the coins. I would keep it intact until I got more info on what you have. The paper may be worth more than the roll. lol

I got a closer look at the roll and its says MIL-B-1310 class 2 everything that came up was all about department of defense and some type of ammo they used. I'm clueless on what it means any help would be appreciated thanks

I'm glad to see you haven't destroyed the roll, and I still feel it was something the tried to protect the coins, who knows it could be more to it. Good luck with it.

I finally found that it was a trial for coin collectors to protect the coins but it stated that it was destroying the coins from a chemical reaction so they stopped making them. I don't really see anything wrong with the coins just a small amount of color change. I just hope they don't start to rot now I opened them I'm gonna go get flips tomorrow for them.
