Hi All, long time collector, recent lurker, first time poster. I've been going through my coins recently trying to organize and sort the collection. Thanks to all of you that have contributed so much, my head is spinning with all the info on pennies and errors.

While going through the nickles and found this... Hopefully someone can help ID the type of error, I can see the doubling, but the denticles are quite strange

Does doubling cause the scratches between the denticles and on the 5, C, E, T? IF doubling, thanks I will remember that for the future.

I wanted to resurrect this thread to see if anyone has any insight on this error. I have been looking at someting called die trails to explain the parallel lines that run along the C, E and the denticles along the top. There is some doubling, but the lines at the top are what really interests me. The top of the reverse of coin looks out of focus in hand, but still trying to capture that in images.
