If you were to take a few minutes to explore the Mint's FTP site you will find many, many high-resolution coin photos. Much higher than you will find on the Mint's regular website. The Mint displays the FTP site on many of their news releases encouraging people to look at the high-res images. Example: Images of the Mint's 100th Anniversary of the Canadian Arctic Expedition products are available by visiting ftp://communications:RCM2007@ftp.mint.ca
Explore a little bit and you will run into a nice pile of baseball coins coming. As the photos are available to the general public, I am not sure if posting them would break any rules. I'll just post the file names to be on the safe side. Edited by jpaiva83 01/08/2013 11:08 pm

Interested in seeing the coins but I have never been able to log in to the ftp server. Even using the anonymous credentials, I can't seem to gain access.

The designs are very modern and stylistic - the artist was definitely not going for realistic views of the game!
As a baseball fan, they pique my interest -- it will be fairly expensive to purchase the complete seven-coin set, however, considering the inclusion of the three gold coins. It will be interesting to see final pricing. I'd guess between $90 and $120 per silver coin, between $700 and $800 for the $150 gold coin and between $500 and $600 for each of the $75 gold coins. Just my guesses, of course!
Thanks for uncovering and sharing!

If a single box were to come out that could all of the silver and/or gold coins altogether, it might boost sales. Might make the complete set more desirable.

This could be a great idea. If the bluejays become contenders for the series, and they could be, the band wagon could make these super popular.

Ugh...more sports? What a waste of effort.

@RyanB11, yeah, I know the feeling, not a big sports fan myself. Still, I think they do look nice. As I always say, looking at the photos is free.

Strange, they don't even play a game in Canada. I think they are stretching for topics this year.

The diamond and Hardball Gold $75 coins actually look nice. The rest are pretty brutal looking IMHO.

Too much simplified....
But for the collector-baseball fun all the coins together (or silver / gold only) could be very nice set.

I was brainstorming yesterday thinking this may be something they cover this year due to lack of other topics for 2013. I didn't expect it would be in the higher $ range - more like the coloured quarters or 50 cents.
I wouldn't mind having one coin for this but it seems if you were going to buy one silver $20, you would want them all. I don't expect them to be that popular but maybe if the mintage is right.
