I have this 1965 quarter and don't know if this worth anything to save? I never collected coins like this before. Just had it for two years.

* Note* Near In God We Trust is little bit flat. The 19 is half missing
What's-With-This?

* note* Rim is messed up from stamping? The metal must of picked up or something.

It looks like PMD, or Post-Mint Damage. Basically, the coin was damaged after if left the mint. Is it bent? If so, it's not a mint error.

The coin isn't bent. I have it inside a hold. But you mean the post mint damage could cause that metal to look like that?

I sort of looks like the edge was caught in a heavy press. Sort of like a train rolling over part of the coin.

I don't think it is anything special outside of a curiousity.

I don't think it's possible for it to have been struck that way. PMD can do strange things to a coin...

Yes, PMD. That rim was hit in some fashion causing the hetal to flap over like that. Interesting, but not of any value.

Look at the strike on the reverse....Doesn't that look a tad weird? Seems off center...

I don't think the reverse is off-center. Believe the coin is off-center in the 2x2, and that's what you are seeing

Maybe I'm seeing things but it kind of looks like someone tried to start a trick coin. The two headed type. It looks like the rim was partially separated from the fields. Like someone tried cutting the coin apart. Maybe a better close up of the reverse would help. If you can, take the coin out of the holder. Thanks.
