I posted this one a little while back. These images are closer to the actual color. I have questions about the reverse color but am fairly comfortable with the color of the obverse. Grades and color opinions are welcomed.....on a side note I love the strike on this one. It will be hanging out in my 7070

I like the look of you coin, but it appears to have been recolored. As far as grading I find FE to be very difficult to grade with striking issues and separating wear from poor strike. I will take a guess and say AU 55-58. I would put that coin in my collection anytime.

Wow, can't really tell if it's wear or (very) weak strike.

Coin has AU details and appears re-colored in a strange color.

Yeah those were my feelings as well....recolored and AU 55 to 58. I will say the obverse in hand looks more chocolate brown, the reverse is the part of the coin that struck me more odd. I threw $100 at it....do you think that was reasonable. I don't typically buy problem coins knowingly....made my fair share of problem coin purchases unknowingly.....I've recently been going through some of my earlier purchases....right when I got back in to the hobby....many face in palm moments and thoughts of "what was I thinking".

Can you lighten the photo any? Hard to tell what is going on with the surface color in these photos. Razor sharp detail though.

She sure has great bones but I would get that nasty color off of it and let it retone itself.

I'd try soaking it in acetone first. That may be all it takes. Rinse with water after a 30 minute soak and pat dry.
