Although I would never but coins from a TV show, I always look forward to watching them. I commented a few weeks ago about how HSN was selling slabbed 2013
ASE's on New Year's Eve and using 2012 and 2010
ASE's inside the slabbed ANACS MS70,I thought that was amusing.
I watch another show on ShopNBC and they were also selling slabbed MS70 2013
ASE's, but they were showing a 2012 slabbed, but repeated upfront that these are not 2013, but have gotten back a preliminary report from NGC on how many MS70's they have so far. I totally accept this method vs. HSN's method.
What really had me laughing (out loud) and my wife telling me I am such a geek, is the ShopNBC guys were ripping into the "other network's methods of selling slabbed MS70 2013
ASE's and acting as if they had them in hand and they went on to rip them for selling that way, hiding the date on the screen and using a less inferior
TPG (ANACS), they said we don't have the slabbed MS70's in hand, but they are shipping out soon, they did have a full monster box of 2013's they opened on air. They also said, we get ours graded by a more reputable
TPG, NGC.
I was laughing so hard at how they were ripping the other network, I thought I was the only one who noticed the HSN method. I just thought this can only be appreciated by fellow coin collectors and watchers of these shows.
Anyone else see this?
