My Krause catalogue lists army exchange service note. I can't seem to find any on ebay (might be looking in the wrong spot). Can anyone direct me to information on these and where they can be purchased.

Sounds like MPCs (Military Payment Certificates).
Looking that up will find information.

The word " exchange" in the U.S. Armed Forces often refers to the Base Exchange/Post Exchange/Navy Exchange (BX/PX/NEX) which is a department type store in which these Military Payment Certificates could be used back in the day.

Can you give the catalog title, catalog number and page number you are referencing as your Krause catalog?

" The name originates from POG, a brand of juice made from passionfruit, orange and guava; the use of the POG bottle caps to play the game pre-dated the game's commercialization" Reference: Lewis, Tommi: "Pogs: The Milkcap Guide", page 23. Andrews and McMeel, 1994 Here are a few websites devoted to AAFES POGS (Army Air Force Exchange Service). http://www.aafespogs.com/-and- http://numispedia.org/AAFES/

Is there a community that collects the pogs like coins? I have some from my combat tour back around 2005-2006 and just kept them as souvenirs. Always thought I'll spend them back at the PX but plasic card payment system came out to cut back on cash/coins/pogs from being used in theatre.
