Yes I realize that they pay for the table. We also attended a gun show and very little ammo to be found. Common types were no where to be found

Quote: Yes I realize that they pay for the table. I figured that you did. I did as well but was shocked at how much a table or two costs for a weekend show. Yikes! Quote: We also attended a gun show and very little ammo to be found. Common types were no where to be found Yes, I have heard that from others as well. The most recent show was one that we missed due to a schedule problem but was very likely just as you describe. Heck, even Obama made a joke when a reporter asked if he knew what his policies were doing for sky-rocketing gun and ammo sales. He replied with "And they say that I don't know anything about business!". Well, sort of...

I wouldn't even SWEAT it... there is absolutely no shortage of physical silver. What you are seeing is world mints rebalancing their orders and they are going to be plenty of eagles, maples, etc to go around.
Dont let technical issues with the mint and their use of supplies fool you into overpaying.
I certainly play my cards strongly that in the coming weeks and months we are going to hear of some pretty upset and disappointed buyers that rushed in to buy silver eagles.

Yes ths whole thing on the 2nd ammendment is frightening. Seems many compare to hunting rights and the ability to hunt!! It has NOTHING to do with that. All should read the bill of rights and see just how many have been and are being taken away.

Exactly right, Angel. The word "hunting" appears nowhere in the US Constitution, so even bringing it into this debate is pretty much a red herring argument.

And another stupid comment when the NY gov was screaming you don't need 10 bullets to kill a dear knows nothing about hunting. You might you might not. He makes me sick

What does this have to do with 2013 ASE's being sold out? I expected comments about that. I guess this site is changing.

All threads get a little off topic through out them. But I mean really what more are you looking for? The initial run sold out, theyre going to make more will will also sell out and basically repeat the process until the mint says alright weve done enough this year time to start the 2014s.

Thanks. We sometimes go off on a tangent. I'm glad to hear that the coins are out there again. I just would like to find a local coin dealer that a tube could be purchased from.

First off, addressing the off topic- aren't there enough gun forums out there? I came here for coins, to be educated about coins and to help others that might find similar coin/PM interests as myself.
BTW- I don't know if the Mods have ever discussed this maybe they have but what if they had a forum here that was for other stuff besides coins? SO that members could discuss such topics there.. I dunno just a thought.
But look, I still say, the Mint has a ton of silver. I bet they are adjusting behind the scenes how much they take in of silver and thats why there was that "shortage". In fact I am willing to bet that we will see lower production numbers from world mints including ours.
Is that a bad thing? No. I am so looking forward to this. Let the numbers drop, let the interest in silver and gold wane and pass and the price of the metal drop... and I think when everyone turns their back (general public, Joe Public, Mom and Pop PM buyers") the PMs start to grind up higher, slowly but surely. :D

Wasn't sure whether to start another thread or just add to this one, but since my question/comment is about 2013 ASE I figured I'd add to this one: Got a few of tubes of 2013 ASE today in the mail. First thing I did was open a tube up, flip it over and lift the tube to expose a nice stack of twenty coins. When I did this I only had a stack of 17 coins! The other 3 coins stayed in the tube. A little jiggling/tapping got them out but I thought that was a little weird. This happened on each tube I opened. The bottom 3-4 coins stayed in the tube. I have 2 tubes of 2011 ASE and this never happened with those. Has anyone else had this happened to them? I'm guessing the issue is with the plastic tube and not the actual coins, but I'll bring home a set of calipers from work one of these days just to make sure the coins are in spec.

Alright, measured both the 2013 and the 2011. They were both 1.598 inches. And after all that I tried the different coins in the different tubes and it turns out the 2011s get stuck in the tube also.
So what's the deal with the tubes? Anyone else noticed this?
