Mike Rest in Peace United States 2884 Posts	Posted 04/15/2007 5:24 pm I have always been a fan of the Columbian Exposition Halves. Very nice example! I worked at the University of Chicago for 28 years. The 1892 Columbian Exposition and the 1933 Worlds fair contributed to the largest Campus expansions until the construction boom there in the last 10 years. Most of the existing buildings were built during these celebrations. The Midway for the 1933 Worlds fair ran right through the campus! It is now officially designated as part of the "Famous Boulevards" of the United States sites. Mike Report this Post to the Staff
