These pics don't show the luster very well. This coin has most of its original mint luster. Its a shame about the bag marks on the obverse device and the reverse fields, but it looks pretty amazing for a 132 year old coin.

I hope its in mint state condition. What do you think? Thanks for your input.

I'm afraid I can't call it Mint State. It looks to be a strong strike, so what I see on the obverse hair, and reverse breast/talons/large leaves has to be characterized as wear. Further, the marks you mention had to have been caused in circulation - that kind of gouge doesn't happen in the bag. They're too sharp to have been caused by another coin. No worse than AU55.
