I wanted to share some carved pumpkins I've done the last 3 years. I thought folks in this forum might enjoy them, too.

I found images from the internet and used these as stencils. Hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed carving them. Too bad they can't be kept year to year!

When ever I look at stuff like this (which is great by the way), I feel like such a slacker.

LOL, Ya got me! Yes 1911. I was going to have trouble with the 3 so I used an easier digit. A 1. Didn't give it a second thought.

Don't even think I can play this off as an early pattern!!

BTW, these took a few hours to complete. Had to give myself a window of time to do.

Thanks everyone for the compliments.

Stencils from coin images from the internet. I had to pick the highlights but the outlines are from coin images.

I got experience carving pumpkins from the kids Halloween stencil kits.

Hmmm, could be a good way to raise some $$ for the coin spending piggy bank.

I thought about the quarter. Hard for sure. I'll give it thought as to the possibility. I was thinking the Lincoln wheat reverse or a Kennedy obverse. I think the wheat back would be easiest.

I'll post next years pumpkin(s). :)
