Anyone recognize this? Here is a beauty with her helmet on. And a scrawny beast showing off his fine figure.

That's a spectacular medal. I'm no expert in Swiss medals, but I think your medal was an award at a Swiss shooting festival, specifically the Kantonales Schützenfest in 1904. (I don't speak Swiss so I could easily be mistaken.) A quick web search turned up pictures of medals of similar quality from 1903 and 1905, so this one would fit right in. Switzerland is close to France so I'm wondering if this could be Joan of Arc.

Ouch, that one is in rough shape! Translation: Quote: Quality see scan (scan is decisive) original scan guaranteed authentic Silver 9.9gr. 900/1000 uncirculated Please note our shipping rates. The rest was generic seller information. I wish I could beleve that it really was "uncirculated"! For postarity's sake, I pulled a copy of the photos and cleaned them up.

Thanks Steve. No chance of it ending up in the black cabinet, right?....right?
FYI. I'll probably be putting it up from sale/trade in the future but want to make sure I have it's pedegree right before doing so.

I found this reference (bottom of the page): Quote: 1904 Zurich, Richter #1789a, 27mm with 1000 struck in silver. And a beautiful design from Huguenin. There is also a silver plated brass version of this that I would love to stumble across one day.

D! Always nice for you and the three boys to stop in. They still banging away on their drums?
I still wish I knew the value on this bad boy...I have heard as much as $500, but don't know.

The boys are doing fine....still searching for their roots... Found this medal graded by NGC MS62 and by the pictures yours imo is in the ms range..Couldn't find a specific value but I think your're in the right range especially with only 1000 minted.......Link: http://coins.www.collectors-society...spx?sc=27932 I have coming in what I think is also a Swiss shooting medal...Not as nice as yours but looks alot earlier...I will post pictures in a while for opinions...
