I am a under 18 year old coin collector, I was just wondering what most people consider a "kid" at these shows.
Would anyone under 18 be a "kid"?

I think the older you get the higher the age you think of as a kid. I'm in my forties and I think a lot of 20 somethings are "kids". If I make 70...40 somethings will be kids...

I like that description.
My main reason in asking this, is that I see all of the kid giveaways and other things. And I would enjoy having some of these coins in my collection, but don't want to take it away from the younger soon-to-be collectors.

AHHH! I think at your age you are fine. I would not try it past 17 though but that is just me.

If you don't have graying hair, or do not have a full beard that's *at least* an inch long, most people (at your average Jersey coin show at least) will think you're a "kid." ;-)

The giveaways at the shows are for collectors 18 and under. I hope we will see both of you at the World's Fair of Money in Chicago in August.

That is just a bit too far of a drive. I would have liked to have been at the FUN show, and it was just one hour or two away, sadly I cannot be in 2 places at the same time and l had some school things going on..

There's quite a few YN's on this forum

@Susan
