I think $250 trends is for ms63 Red, not Red-Brown.

It does make a substantial difference (some would argue perhaps not with ICCS graded copper coins).

Yes perhaps you are correct, this would explain the large price difference. However, this coin is still very nice color to it, I think worth maybe around $200 ? Correct me if I am wrong

I agree with the $200 price point but, the Red coin would be much more attractive than a RB

royalsilver, you will thank yourself. with being a college student also, I have learned to prioritize my collection. I used to buy silver, gold, bills, world coins and Canadian sets all at one visit to my LCS. my dealer never understood it as I had no margin of what I collect. I have started narrowing down what I buy into two parts

1) personal collection
2) re-sale

if I want to start collecting large cents, I buy high grade RED pennies. I know you wish you got this, but what I am saying, is when you're 50, it will be hard to sell as the base of coin collectors will slowly be dying

as a fellow CCF member once told me

buy high grade key date coins and they will not let you down

basically, it looks nice, but its R/B. for an old coin ms-63 is great! but just think, will you want this in your personal collection in 15 years
