You have all probably heard stories like this before; people taking hundreds of dollars (sometimes thousands of dollars) worth of cents and decorating walls, floors, or ceilings with them. This article has a twist about two-thirds of the way through, though. If that date is not a typo, wouldn't you love to get a close look at that floor?

I'm sure that if it was that, then it was probably plated.

I'd agree. I have a hard time believing someone would sand down a $100,000 coin and glue it to the floor.

Within the bulk of pennies came some rare finds - - " a 1944 WWII 440 steel penny that was created due to a copper shortage, and a 1873 penny featuring an Indian head instead of Abraham Lincoln. Both pennies are worth enough money to pay for the project

Am I missing something? How is a 1944 Steelie and an 1873 IHC worth enough to pay for the floor?

OH! A 1944 Steelie!!

Now I get it!

Wow! I'm not sure I would have glued that bad-boy to the floor... (If it really was a 1944 steelie...)

Beautiful floor but wow, all of the comments about it being illegal are unbelievably ignorant

If I glued all my LWC lamination errors to the floor would this make it a laminate floor?

They're making a huge deal of this today on the news. They have close-ups & the IHC, with the '44, only the rev.
Yes, shenanigans.
