Since many new members are coming in, I thought that it would be nice to have an introduction page. So, tell us a little about yourself.....

Hi ND, I am a semi-retired, new coin collector from Washington State. I got into this last fall with the birth of our granddaughter, and a trip to Chandler Az. to visit her. While exploring the area, we came across an antique mall in Chandler that had lot's of old coins. Being a history buff, I was intriqued, and also thought it may be a good idea to start a penny collection for the new graddaughter. Well the penny collection is complete, except for the big three, the Jefferson nickel set is complete, the Roosies, the Wahington's, the Franklin's, Kennedy's, and Ikes are complete. So you can see how that penny collection expanded LOL. Also I got interested in other types of coins, Foreigns, commomeratives so on, and so on. I should mention that the above collections were completed through the help and generosity of folks from CP. That place was like an extended family to me, and I miss communicating with them. Hopefully some will show up here. This seems like a nice site, and ND, you have some wonderful coins. Out of my league, but beautiful.

Hi everyone, I am Dan. Many names I recognize from the coinpeople site. I hang out in Florida for now, and collect just about everything under the sun that I find appealing. My main areas of interest are Jefferson nickels and Ike dollars both of which I have complete sets of, with a very strong interest in coins from the Carson City mint. I also am doing a US type set that will be decades in the making and also a type set of coins from Portugal which is my ancesters origin. I like coins from the Philippines as well. As Ray said National dealer, you have some fantastic coins for sale Dan

Ray, On this site no coin is out of anyone's league so to speak. If we can't buy certain coins people like ND and Bobby are always willing to post photographs of them. I know one person who is trying to put together a full collection of MS Indian cents IN PHOTOGRAPHS..! So far it looks great. Don't try to buy the real thing however. I would like to see one of the Bust Half Dollar collectors put one of these photo collections together. Welcome to CC catman steve

Hi everyone, my name is John, and although I 'dabbled' in coins a long time ago, I would say I am a new collector. I'm interested in just about anything, but have been focusing on mint and proof sets, and American Silver Eagles. I look forward to returning here often, and thanks for a great forum

Welcome to all of you. While we can never take the place of CP (and wouldn't try), I hope you all find what you're looking for here. We've tried to put together a site that is comfortable for everyone. Any questions, concerns, input, or comments? Just email me. Bobby and I put this site together with the idea that veteran and new collectors/dealers alike could exchange information and ideas while also enjoying the company of other numismatists. We have a very nice mixture of collectors and dealers and all new collectors are heartily welcomed here. I spent a fair amount of time on CP and was very impressed with the site and its members. All are welcome here. Just kick back, relax, and enjoy!

Susanlynn, thank you for the warm welcome. One thing I seem to be having problems with here is viewing photographs. Each time I try to open a link to a photo, such as the pocket peice thread, I get an error message. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome all from CP, I am an ex-CW member, still visit "another" forum but rarely post-- My love are $20 Gold Saints, have started collecting the $2.50 Gold Indians. Have the complete set of $1 SAE coin set which I am now still in the top 15 on the registry on ngc site--I love guns and have a few of those, love RC airplanes and fly when ever I can--let see--- My primary love are gold coins, love any all silver coins (morgans, peace & SAE) That is my problem I love so much and so many I am thin on alot of issues, but have alot of everything LOL Anyways, welcome to one and all & sorry to hear bout CP-- Enjoy our new forum-- CiScO

Hi,
having lost my "home" now CP seems to have passed away, I'm looking for a new place to spend my time.
Got a lot of suggestions from CP-friends and this was one of them.
I already see a lot of familiar names and I hope this place will become a home too.

Let me add my welcome to all of you. Many may remember me from my early days in the forums. While I happen to buy and sell coins that are a bit pricey don't hold that against me. I love an AG Large Cent as much as anyone. Please share some pics of your coins whether they are for sale or not. For those of you that love to dream, I will be updating the current list in the for sale section along with many fresh photos. I will warn you, any drooling on your keyboard may cause issues with your computer.

Well everyone knows who I am! Okay just once more (this month at any rate) I'm Ætheling (formerly known as Sylvester at Coinpeople). I live in England and it rains alot. I currently collect English medieval coins, focusing on the tenth century and on Henry VI (1422-1461). I am also working on three date sets, 1) Nazi Germany 5 reichspfennigs from the Berlin mint, 2) Philly mint Washington quarters 1940-1964 and 3) UK Decimal bronze coins 1971-84. I very occasionally buy other coins when I'm feeling adventurous, which is seldom. Mostly from Pre-Revolutionary France.
