Here is a coin from my Republic set. What is cool about this coin is that the assayer initials which should be "VL" are "inverted A"L. Some guy at the mint punched the die with an upside down A instead of a V.

It is rather scarce. I have to look up where and when I bought it.

A really dramatic error--very nice! This is also an overdate, correct? The last digit in the date threw me off, but I see a listing for a 1860/59.

DVC you are entirely correct, thank you. For some reason I did not note the overdate on the holder, but it is there. The 0/9 looks like a glob but I can see a 9, the 6 over 5 could be seen as a re-cut 6, but probably a 5.
