I found this looking through a roll of dimes my dad had rolled and found this coin. It looks off center to me and I think that's an error..I can't remember. Obviously I don't know much about errors yet. But anyways, can anyone tell if this is an error? I got the best pics I could possibly get with the camera I have so if you can't see it good enough..I apologize. Thanks for any response.

Did you set your camera to macro setting? It's a tiny flower icon.

There are members here who do use phones successfully (I am not the best at it) and may have tips in photography section.

One thing I find that helps me is to not put the phone quite so close so I get a fairly clear far shot and using the coin forum image optimizer to crop it. It may not be as extremely in focus but it is often good enough for a situation like this where a macro shot is not necessary.

I can still see that it is an error. Off Center Struck. Now how far off struck is impossible to tell with the blurry photos. Try putting the dime directly below where the camera is on the phone and back the phone away a little. Most electronic cameras have a minimum focusing difference.

Not quite, lol!

If you want, there is a good testing section on the forum where you can practice uploading pictures. I have visited there recently for iPhone practice - one of my cats is prominently displayed there!

I'll just re-post this when I have a new camera or something. I just got about 40 bucks so I'll have something better in about a week. Sorry for the wasted thread everyone:p

Even a scanner would do a decent job for this coin.
Scanners are 5 and 10 bucks now at flea markets etc.
or even for free on c-list.
