I have just started getting into Canadian Coinage and am wondering how to tell if a coin is a "specimen" VS just nice and PL. I know they are struck twice but diagnostically is there anything to look for so that I don't give away a big $ coin? It is a bit different than US coins where it is MS and maybe MSPL and then proof (which are easy to spot usually. Thanks for anyone's input!
