Just acquired this and noticed the error on the reverse. I'm thinking a lamination loss on the eagles beak. What's your take? Thanks guys.

Here's a side by side comparison with the error and the normal. Looks like the forward portion of the eye socket has been blown out.

Interesting. My first thought would be PMD, but I can't see where any of the displaced metal might have gone, nor any mechanism which might have gouged metal out in that nice clean shape.

I'm going to call it a strikethrough pending further discussion.
