I found this coin in a bucket of mixed tokens. It appears Islamic and made of silver. I paid about 5 cents for it so I think I got a good deal.

The best match I've found so far, for style and for the unusual five-pointed cartouche, are the "post-reform" coins of Persian Ilkhanate ruler Ghazan Mahmud (AD 1293-1314). Explore this section of zeno.ru and you'll find many similar coins, though I haven't found an exact match.

What's the size and weight?
