You can't see it in these downsized photos, but the originals showed the planchet striations across the flat strike. The other VAM1C2 I have actually looks like a triple clash with the wing die chip. The VAM1C die pairs are my favorite at the moment. Report this Post to the Staff
SsuperDdave Moderator United States 23522 Posts	Posted 01/25/2013 5:15 pm I see a typical flat-strike New Orleans coin; the ear and adjacent hair were all I needed. Given the lighting and the look of the dark marks there, no way that coin has circulated. Guessing you'll see stronger clashing from the back of the cap in-hand, as well.
