Another Monster coin..

Justinian l
527- 565.. AD..
Year 12
Nicomedia.. Mint
45mm x 22.22g..
I need to find more about this coin...
Well it looks like the person I got this from misattributed it, Thanks to VK great eye I think we have it right now...
The person that gave it to me had an article on Constantine lV, which looked alot like this coin.. had to put it in a ASE flip because of the size..

Very nice John. Very nice. As stevex6 would say, it deserves some fruit.

"M" for MONSTER coin. The obverse bust is in wonderful shape for a coin like this. You have been finding some interesting coins latly. I have yet to take the Byzantine plunge yet. I'm working my way there, Great coin, my friend.

Constantine IV? I read IVSTINIANVS (Justinian) on the obverse. Attractive coin

Wow...that's really impressive! It must be cool to hold in your hand and image who else held it, many centuries ago.

Justinian year 12 - do a little research to see what Justinian was faced with when this coin was only a couple years old. It is interesting and not pretty. The coin is safe by now.

These are very popular coins now. Good job on finding a large module one, they are not so easy to come across anymore.
