I got some 40% Kennedy halves amd was looking through them and I found this odd one. I have found a few with Machine Doubling but this one looks to be Machine Doubling with another double so I thought I would ask you guys what you think. I took a straight shot so you could see the severity which looks likes plain Machine Doubling but when you turn it you can see how raised it is.
Other thing is sections of the coin like the feathers have the some Machine Doubling but there is a third doubling I cant figure out. Is this machine doubling+coin shift+?

Pictures
1 straight shot looks like normal Machine Doubling.
2 angle shot so you can see the depth of each layer
3 wing shot, there are areas like this all over but not all going the same way?

hope the pictures are good enough.

Excellent pics!

I see what you are saying about the difference in how it looks in the images. My gut says MD but that second photo does kind of make me wonder also.

I dont know, its all wierd. It looks like die slipage, MD, DD and everything else lol. Ather wierd thing is that one letter will have three levels and the next one will have none.
Trying to get a picture of one section that has those lines running down the middle of the letters like pic 2 but the glare wont let me /

I find a lot of these on the 66.
Also more DDO's (actual ones) on the same year
More so than other years as far as the 40%er's.
